Student Workshop Scholarships
​​Eleanore Ryder Workshop Scholarships are awarded to three students at every workshop. Winning students are selected by the our guest faculty and receive free tuition to the next workshop.

Eleanore Ryder Student Workshop Scholarships
Eleanore Ryder was one of the founding members of ADT-NJ, served as President , Vice President and Faculty Coordinator many times throughout her long and dedicated service to the organization. Eleanore was instrumental in keeping ADT-NJ a respected organization.
​
A former Rockette, she opened her own studio in the early 1960’s, became active in and was a certified member of ADT-NJ and Dance Masters of America and judged many competitions throughout her years. She was a dedicated and beloved teacher to all of her students, and insisted on the highest standards for dance educators.

How to Apply:

Open to students aged 7 through 12th grade attending our Fall or Winter Workshop.

All students, regardless of whether their teacher is an ADT-NJ member, are eligible.

Dress Code: Students should adhere to the workshop’s dress code to be considered.

Positive Attitude: Demonstrating a positive and respectful attitude toward teachers and fellow students is essential.

Class Participation: Active participation and engagement in class activities will be evaluated.

Dance Etiquette: Following proper dance etiquette, including being attentive and respectful, is required.

Enthusiasm: Showing enthusiasm and energy during class is a key factor in selection.

Effort: Putting forth your best effort in all class exercises and combinations.

Guest teachers will choose 5 students in each class who follow the selection critera above. Those 5 students will fill out a scholarship entry form. At the end of the workshop, one scholarships will be awarded to one student in each room: Junior, Tween, & Senior.

Winners will receive free tuition to the next workshop.

No separate application is needed; all eligible students attending the workshop will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
